Navigating Mental Health Consultation Commonly Asked Questions
Evidence-based Psychoeducation coaching is a process that combines research, practical models, education and coaching to help individuals understand and manage their emotions, behaviors, and thoughts. It’s not therapy or counseling, but a supportive process that empowers individuals with knowledge and skills to improve their quality of life.
Live Interaction: Our program involves live, interactive coaching sessions. This allows for real-time feedback, personalized guidance, and the opportunity to address questions or concerns immediately. It also fosters a sense of community and peer support among the teens in the program. We courage a collaborative, supportive and ambient environment.
Personalized Approach: Unlike many online courses that offer a one-size-fits-all approach, our program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each teen. We focus on their individual challenges and goals and adapt our coaching techniques accordingly.
Holistic, Research-Based Techniques: Our program integrates a broad spectrum of research-backed techniques. This includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). We also delve into mindfulness practices and self-esteem enhancement strategies. Furthermore, our program incorporates lessons on the science of the nervous system, somatic practices, understanding and healing intergenerational trauma, and more. This holistic approach provides teens with a diverse set of tools to navigate their lives effectively.
Ongoing Support and Community: Beyond the coaching sessions, we offer continuous support and resources for teens and their parents. Teens have access to a private, monitored Discord server where they can ask questions and connect with a supportive community. Parents are invited to join a private Facebook group where they can find resources and connect with other parents. Both groups will receive regular updates with resources and blog posts from our website. This multi-faceted support system ensures that both teens and their parents have the resources and community they need throughout the coaching journey.
